Here I am, once again writing while on the move. Phil and I, plus our two doggos, are loaded up in the F-150 headed to Bismark. If there’s one thing Phil and I are good at - it would be traveling.

Sometimes the blessings in life are oh so clear. On Sunday I got to become Godmother to my beautiful new niece, Annie. During that ceremony her brother, who also got baptized, was a complete card and everyone was highly entertained by his adorable antics.

Something I thought about while taking a walk after the first real snowfall of the season - do mufflers even work? Many times I have thought a semi was coming up behind me and it turned out to be a really loud pickup. Which is better - icy sidewalk or snow in the street?

My boarder is moving farms this week so we’ve spent the last few days loading and hauling horses, feed, furniture, kitties, chickens, and everything else under the sun. Or should I say clouds? Winter is arriving and I’ve seen my first few snowflakes of the year.

Wasn’t it exciting to have such nice weather for Halloween? It’s been a good long time since our neighborhood kiddos could trick (or treat) in their actual costumes, versus a winter coat, hat, and gloves covering up all the fun.

I sure have missed it up here. The first day we were back home I immediately went to the gym because my poor legs were so stiff that I couldn’t stand it. Being cooped up in our F-150 for 24 hours is enough to make me stir crazy.

It’s hard to believe that being a North Dakota native living in this state for most of my life, that I have never taken the opportunity to attend a college level football game.
