PEMBINA, N.D. – “Make Your Own Red River Oxcart” is set for Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Pembina State Museum from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Make a model oxcart with popsicle sticks to take home, and learn about the Métis, oxcarts, and the Red River Valley fur trade. The event is for those age 6 and older.

By Mike Alan Steinfeldt North Dakota’s oldest Citizen has passed away. Clarabell Demers died on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at Unity Medical Center in Grafton. Known affectionately as “Grandma D,” Clarabell was born at the dawn of the second decade of the 20th century in eastern Walsh County.
