Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 is a passage often read at funerals. The first verse lays the foundation for what is to follow. “Everything on earth has its own time and its own season” (CEV). Life has seasons through which we pass, and there is a purpose to each season.

If you visited me in the office last week, which several of you did, you noticed a three-pound ball of white fluff that was napping in a laundry basket next to my desk. That’s Hugo. Hugo is our new family puppy! He is a Maltese-Poodle mix, called a Maltipoo, and he is 11 weeks old.

Harvest is in full swing as the farmers work steadily to get the crops off the fields at the perfect time to get the best yield possible. The grain dust hangs heavy in the air causing allergies to flare up for those who suffer from them.
