As a kid, Halloween was a date that we circled in red on the calendar. Well, if I was to be truthful, we didn’t actually circle it, but in our minds we did. Halloween wasn’t about being scary, causing mischief or promoting evil – it was all about candy – FREE candy!

As all of my readers probably know by now, one of my occupations is that of a small-scale commercial beekeeper in Walsh and Pembina County. I guess it’s been about nine years since I helped out with a handful of hives and that has grown over the years to where our business is now.
