It doesn’t take a lot to entertain my husband and I. I’m an only child and Phil is eight years senior to his little sister. I’ve gathered from stories we’ve shared that we both filled a lot of time from our formative years playing with mud, sticks, and rocks.

As I write today, I am enjoying a refreshing cool fall breeze through my window and the only sound I hear is that of a few yard crickets. The television is off, the dog is asleep, and my home is as peaceful as can be. I will soak it in.

I’ve noticed I’ve taken a liking to writing my weekly column outside. I’m currently perched on the bench outback from my office enjoying the crisp FALL morning air. I’d better get my outside writing done while I can.

Saturday afternoon the Drayton Bombers football team took to the field, hosting the Trenton Tigers here in Drayton. Hopes were running high as the boys were coming off of an exciting win the week before, and with the playoffs coming up soon, every game is vitally important.

We are really enjoying the snuggles and playfulness of our new white fluffball, Hugo. He is up to nine pounds now. The day he is officially potty trained will be a glorious one… It’s a good thing God made puppies cute.

After the livestream debacle during the first Bombers home game of the season I made up my mind that things would go better at the next game. Mr. Lund found a more powerful Mac to use and the initial testing went perfectly.

Here’s to hoping that you all had a great Labor day weekend vacation, I know I did. For this year’s Labor Day weekend I took a quick trip to the family place of my wife near Floodwood, Minnesota.

BOMBERS WEEKLY COLUMN

Today I woke up this morning and dressed up for picture day. I disliked what I chose, but I had no other choice or my mom would be disappointed in me. Anyway, I packed my school supplies and got into my car, heading to school.
