To say that my recent Summer vacation was quiet and peaceful might be an overstatement, but at least it was fun and relaxing.If you’ve read my column for any period of time, you know that I normally take a vacation around the first week of August to Northern Wisconsin.

The school supplies have been purchased, sports passes are paid for, sports physicals are scheduled and winter clothing and shoes have been acquired. It’s back to school time!Summer is fun and all, and the weather has been great, but I crave the routine of the school year.

The Fourth of July at our lake place is a lot quieter since our neighbors Bob and Lainey Toso sold their place a few years ago.The Tosos are former educators, Bob being the former School Superintendent in Jamestown and Lainey a teacher in Valley City.
