While debating the fate of Jesus’ apostles in Acts 5:34-39, “a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law” reminded his fellow Pharisees of two men who had attracted a large following of like-minded people – Theudas and Judas. Both men were slain, and the movements they led soon dissipated.

As part of an ongoing street project some out of sight - out of mind underground infrastructure like water mains and sewer lines are being replaced. In Langdon where I live, our sewer requirements are modest as compared to larger metropolitan areas.

When I left off last week, I had just let a beautiful Namekagon River walleye get away.Catching a walleye in this spot is a big deal and a source of bragging rights for me. It always seems that my nephews Nick and Ben are especially pleased when “Uncle Mike” pulls a walleye out of “The Spot.
