Lady Titans fall to Mustangs

The Drayton-Valley-Edinburg (D-V-E) Titans hosted the Midway-Minto (MM) Mustangs Thursday, Jan. 18 in Drayton. The visiting Mustangs weren’t very kind to their hosts, handing them a 54-35 loss. After playing pretty even in the first quarter, the Mustangs led just by two, 14-12.

By Mike Alan Steinfeldt The Drayton-Valley-Edinburg Titans girls’ basketball team snapped a seven game losing skid with a 45-38 victory over visiting Cavalier Friday, Dec. 5 in Drayton. The Titans needed a big second half to secure their third win of the season.

By Mike Alan Steinfeldt Class A Northern Cass played a visit to Drayton Thursday. The Jaguars weren’t very kind to their hosts, defeating the Drayton-Valley-Edinburg Titans boys basketball team, 77-48 in the non-conference tilt.

By Mike Alan Steinfeldt The Drayton-Valley-Edinburg boys’ basketball team dropped a pair of games before Christmas break. The Titans fell to visiting Cavalier on Monday, Dec. 18, 68-55 and dropped a decision against Griggs-Midkota at Cooperstown on Thursday, Dec. 21, 56-39.

The Lady Titans were unable to overcome a slow start in their District 3 matchup with Park River-Fordville-Lankin (PR-F-L) last Friday in Park River. Led by Junior Maddison Bernhoft’s 8 points, the Aggies scored the first 6 points in the game and jumped out to an 18-11 lead after one quarter.
