In just about two weeks I’ll be heading to Florida for a week. Our destination is Sanibel Island on the Gulf Coast. Yes – I’m going to Florida in the Summertime. Ok, I like the heat, and besides I didn’t plan this little get together with family, I’m as they say ‘going’ along for the ride.

Monday morning Clarice Mosolf took Saralee Hoselton to East Grand Forks where they were among those attending the funeral for Clara Marie Knoff held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

Letter from the Publisher

As I sit down to write my note to you, I am in my Drayton office on North Main with the window open, a nice breeze coming in and all sorts of interesting vehicles going by (some of which I’d swear were just driving by for my personal entertainment.

An Eclectic Editor

As I sit here typing my column for the week, I’m actually taking a little break from fishing all morning. I’ve got to leave a few of them for the boys. My grandpa said he was going fishing today while we were chatting over dinner the night before. Naturally, I invited myself.

Not the Weekend we had Planned… Friday afternoon, just after dinnertime, one of my father’s nurses at Valley Senior Living called to tell me that dad had lost consciousness shortly after eating his meal and that they were taking him to the emergency room.

Real men don’t get pedicures. I think that is a pretty safe statement for the majority of the red-blooded male population of the United States. I would guess that holds true, especially for those of my generation.
