I could probably rename my column “Strolling down memory lane” because I find myself doing that more often than not, week in and week out. I’ve often thought of recalling memories as therapeutic. I choose to recall happy memories and not dwell on past sorrows.

Oct. 3rd Saralee Hoselton had lunch at the Sugar Bowl Senior citizen’s Center. Afterwards she went to the Drayton United Methodist Church to attend the funeral for Nancy Billings. Others attending included Merv and Phyllis Holter, Mike and Judy Stellon, Landon Mapel and Gayle McConnell.

Thoughts on the US House race I am undecided between Kelly Armstrong and Cara Mund. I disagree with each candidate on abortion. My priority is to get federal legislation passed to mandate uterine anaesthesia during abortion, so fetuses don't get tortured to death. I have other concerns too.

Last I wrote, I promised an update on feeding kangaroos and petting wallabees, so here it is! After seeing the ‘little penguins’ on St. Philip’s Peninsula we went to a wildlife sanctuary which was full of Australian wildlife.
