A bill to provide free meals for North Dakota students failed by two votes in the state Senate on Friday, Jan. 23. House Bill 1624 failed in the Senate 24-22. It had passed in the house, 55-38 a day earlier on Thursday, Jan. 22.

National Weather Service releases flood outlook
