The Bomber Speech competed at Minto on Saturday, March 16, with another successful tournament. Drayton speakers finished first in two categories: Senior, Siobhan Kissee in Serious Prose and 8th Grader, Jonah Rarick in Speech-to Persuade.

Last October, Israel suffered a devastating terrorist attack that resulted in the death of 1,139 of its citizens and foreign nationals and the kidnapping of 248. Israel’s response was an all-out military invasion into Gaza and a lesser response, to date, against Hezbollah to its north.

Each year in early spring, Christians across the globe celebrate their faith on Easter. Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, an event which is described in the New Testament. Mass on Easter Sunday annually attracts millions of the faithful.

The turn-around in my life started 40 years ago. I drove off the road and back onto a busy freeway near San Francisco, California. I was immediately hauled off to jail for driving under the influence. God got my attention. Looking back I am thankful nobody was killed or injured.

Elk, moose and bighorn sheep applications are available online at the North Dakota Game and Fish Department’s website, gf.nd.gov. The deadline for applying is March 27. A total of 833 elk licenses are available to hunters this fall, an increase of 230 from last year.

Titans open track season with Fighting Hawk Classic

Both the Titan boys and girls teams finished 9th in the 20 team meet that featured over 700 athletes from as far away as Williston and Winnipeg, featuring Class A and B schools, club and unattached athletes. Numerous Titans achieved new personal best efforts against elite competition.

Grand Forks resident makes initial appearance after stabbing

Grand Forks resident Cazmere G. Haskins, 17-yo, made their initial appearance in Grand Forks court on Monday afternoon, charged on the single count of Class AA felony murder, the victim being 24-yo Grand Forks resident, Anfernee Economy, previously of Langdon.
