National Honor Society induction ceremony and banquet held Sunday evening

On Sunday evening, April 7, Hastings Landing hosted the 2024 Drayton Public School National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society Induction Ceremonies which were followed by a buffet style banquet.

Gearing up for regionals

Drayton Bomber Speech competed at their last regular season tournament on Saturday, April 6, in Park River. Senior Siobhan Kissee earned a 7th place award in the category of Serious Prose, and 8th grader Jonah Rarick was awarded Top Novice in Speech-to-Persuade.

4-H Project Expo winners named

NDSU Extension Service Kari Helgoe, Pembina County Extension Agent The 2024 Pembina County 4-H Project Expo was held Friday, March 22 at the Mountain Community Center. There were 36 projects on display, representing the three divisions – Cloverbuds – 10; Junior – 22; and Senior - 4.

Life in the slow lane?

The year-end parties are done, and the various clubs are closing down for the year. People are starting to return to their primary residences Quieting down and before long the park will be very quiet once again. Last week I played Bocce Ball several days in a more informal setting.
