House Ag Committee passes Farm Bill

In a marathon hearing that started at 11 AM and wrapped up after midnight, the House Agriculture Committee passed the farm bill on a 33-21 vote. All 29 Republican members of the committee and four Democrats voted for the farm bill.

Potential disruptions at US/CA ports

Concerns have arisen north of the border as the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), who works under the Canada Border Services Agency, have voted 96% in approval of a strike action.The vote was held on Friday, May 24 and consisted of over 9,000 members of the PSAC taking part in the vote.
