It’s the first official week on the job as the newest Northeast Judicial District Judge, Kelley Cole of Grafton. Cole, the former Walsh County state’s attorney, was appointed by Governor Kelly Armstrong to fill the rest of the term of Judge Barbara Whelan, who resigned her judgeship in April.
Cole said Armstrong called her directly to let her know about the appointment.
