This week, Jan. 15 - 20, 2023, in Drayton, the weather has started to take a turn for the better. We haven’t seen any snow in several days, and the sun has come out a couple times. The high this week was about 10 degrees and the low was -10.

It just dawned on me that I have been writing columns about my grandchildren for nearly 20 years. Chronologically, granddaughter number one will be 18-years-old this fall. Grandson number one is 13. Grandson number two is 11 and granddaughter number two is nine-yearsold.

I’ve definitely added some points to my Nodak card recently! I tackled ice skating in my first open air arena on freshly sharpened figure skates in Drayton last week. Then, a few days ago, I finally got out on the ice with my grandpa Ole and uncle Bill to do some ice fishing.

Dear Rusty: I am presently 67 years of age and am still working full time. I am receiving Medicare coverage, but I have not yet applied for monthly Social Security payments. I have been told that I can take SS payments even if I am still working. Is that correct?
