It seems to be the season of sickness in my house. Last week, I was taking care of a sick kiddo at home when I wrote my article, and I have a repeat of that exact scenario this week, with my oldest daughter being the one that is down and out.

My second thought as my bride’s new Subaru started sliding sideways down the interstate was how am I going to explain totaling her car to the woman who loves me? We won’t repeat my first thought here. Now for the rest of the story.

Congrats to the Kansas City Chiefs on the big win last weekend. I don’t follow pro football, but since I lived in Kansas City for a number of years, I think it’s neat that they won. If you’re wondering if I watched the Superbowl, the answer is no. I don’t even bother with the halftime show anymore.
