When I think of concussions, my mind goes back to being a high school football cheerleader witnessing one of our players being taken down hard. He ended up not knowing which year it was for a little while.

Last week I got a call from a trusted news source: Grandpa Ole Nowatzki. He called to let me know that a flag dedication ceremony had just been held at the nursing home where my Grandma Marge lives in honor of Veterans Day.

Halloween 2023 On Halloween morning Saralee Hoselton went with the PCMT van to Grafton. Later in the afternoon she walked over to the Kevin and Kristy Juhl Halloween decorated yard which, due to the snow, wasn’t quite as spectacular as pictures in last week’s Valley News and Views.

It is probably true of every person that there are things they have done they wish they had never done. Some of those things are just foolish or unwise decisions/acts. Others, however, are what God calls sin. In I John 3:4 sin is defined as, “transgression[s] of the law” (God's law).

If everything goes according to plan, then by the time you read this I will be in the city of Philadelphia for the wedding of our daughter Breanna. Our daughter is a professional photographer and has worked in Philadelphia for a major national clothing company for several years.

Halloween has come and gone and it’s officially ‘the holidays,’ to me at least. I was slightly shocked when I got a text from one of my family members asking if I have an opinion about our family’s Thanksgiving plans.
