Splashing into summer: Drayton Swimming Pool opens for the season

By Valley News and Views Staff Summer has officially arrived in Drayton as the Drayton Swimming Pool opened for the season on June 1.The pool will operate under abbreviated hours during its first week to accommodate lifeguard training. Hours for June 4-5 will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Cavalier third-grader wins ND League of Cities essay contest

Cooper Berry, a third grader at Cavalier Public School and the son of Al and Chris Berry, won the statewide “If I Were Mayor” essay contest hosted and sponsored by the North Dakota League of Cities. The contest was open to any third or seventhgrader in the state of North Dakota.
