Caren Joseph Woinarowicz

Caren Joseph Woinarowicz, age 78, of Drayton, passed away peacefully from dementia on Saturday, June 25th, 2022, under the loving care of Eventide Sheyenne Crossings and Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Caren was born to Mike and Helen (Mindak) Woinarowicz in Drayton. He grew up on the family farm in Eagle Point Township where he fostered his love of farming. He graduated from Stephen High School. He married the love of his life, Carol O’Hara in Pembina. Caren was a hard worker, during his lifetime he had multiple jobs including construction, truck driver and beet loader operator for E W Wylie and Transystems, as well as a lifelong farmer. Caren will be remembered for his Catholic faith, farming, love of family, fishing, and deer hunting.

Caren is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol; children Cheri Gould, Carla (Justin) Meaney, and Crystal (Ted) McCants; grandchildren Brooklyn Gould, Michalea Gould, Kylie McCants, Caleb McCants, and Freya Meaney.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Helen; sister and brother-in-law Greta and Thomas Kuznia; and son-in-law Eric Gould.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, July 18, 2022, 11:00 AM at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Drayton; Father Charles Fischer officiating. Interment will be at Drayton Cemetery following luncheon.
