Theodore (Ted) Passa, 96, of Drayton, North Dakota passed away at his home on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Theodore Sylvester Passa was born in Walsh County near Drayton on January 10,1926, the son of Frank and Mary (Narlock) Passa. Ted grew up on the family farm and attended country school. On July 1,1947 he was united in marriage to Lucille E. Blawat.
They celebrated their 75th Anniversary this past Friday. Ted farmed his entire life near Bowesmont and worked at American Crystal for 25 years. He retired in 1991.
Family members include his loving wife, Lucille; children, Larry (Brigita), Drayton, Daryl (Kate), Mill Creek, WA, Ronnie (Cindy), Salt Lake City, UT, Terry (Lisa), St. Paul, MN, Linda McDougall, Hitterdal, MN, Matthew (Holly), Drayton, Jayme (Jane), Barnesville, MN and Brent (Allison), Grand Forks, ND; 18 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by all of his siblings, John, Frances Narloch, Andrew, Leo, Joe, Jacob, Frank, Helen Byzewski, and Steve.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 10:30 am in St. Edward’s Catholic Church, Drayton. Interment will be in St. Edward’s Cemetery. A visitation and prayer service will be held at St. Edward’s on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with the prayer service beginning at 7:00. Fr. Robert Wapenski, officiating; Jean Ann Jiskra, cantor; Elora and Sidney Passa, readers; Quinn, Samantha and Drew Passa, gifts; Tanya Bovaird, violin; and Sally Kliniske, or ganist. Casket bearers will be Ian Passa, Bradley Blawat, Duane Passa, Tyler McDougall, Jeff Blawat and Mark Blawat.
