From the pastor’s desk

We have been looking at Heaven for the last several weeks. Today, we are going to turn our attention to the other place spoken of in the Bible as a place of doom awaiting some in eternity. That place is called Hell. What do we know about this destiny? Jesus tells us several things in Matthew 24:41.

Donald Edward

Donald Edward “Don” Mandigo, 64, Minot, formerly of Westhope, died Saturday, February 18, 2023 in a Garrison Nursing Care Facility. Don was born November 17, 1958 at Bismarck, North Dakota, the son of Roland and Merilyn (Carlson) Mandigo.

Phyllis Vivian Bostad

Phyllis Vivian Bostad was born on June 17, 1928 in Stokes Township, Roseau County, MN. She was the daughter of Ted and Hilda (Sander) Bagstad. She was baptized at Opdahl Lutheran Church and confirmed on June 11, 1944 at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, Badger, MN.

Terrance Richard Dahl

Terrance Richard Dahl, age 81, of Drayton, ND, passed away at Unity Hospital in Grafton, ND on Thursday, February 16, 2023. Terry was born April 22, 1941, in Grafton, ND to Morris and Inez Dahl. He grew up on the family’s farm in Eaglepoint Twp.

Clarence Oden Carlson

Clarence Oden Carlson, 101, a longtime Crookston, Minnesota resident, passed away late Saturday afternoon, Dec. 3, 2022, at Good Samaritan Society-Sacred Heart in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Veronica (Vron) Rose Wilson (Gerou)

Veronica (Vron) Rose Wilson (Gerou), 88, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Gracewood Senior Living in Lino Lakes, Minnesota near her family. Vron was born on May 12, 1934 to Philip and Lucille (Mindak) Gerou in Drayton, North Dakota. She was the fourth born of eight children.

Debra Bellamy

Debra Bellamy, 68, of Drayton, North Dakota passed away at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks on Friday, November 25, 2022. Debra Ann was born in Drayton February 14, 1954 to Gerald and Geraldine (Thompson) Knudson.

Dean John Osowski

Dean John Osowski, 68, longtime Drayton, ND, resident, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Dean was born January 29, 1954, the son of Henry & Agnes (Kouba) Osowski. He grew up in Oslo, MN, attending schools in Oakwood.

Richard Lyle

Richard Lyle, 66, of Drayton, North Dakota passed away at his home on Monday, October 17, 2022. Richard “Dickie” Lee Lyle was born August 3, 1956 in Drayton, the son of Richard and Bonnie Rae (Jorde) Lyle. He attended elementary school in Bowesmont, Grafton and Drayton.

Kyle Evan Watts

Kyle Evan Watts, loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, of Drayton, was called to Heaven on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, at the age of 35, after sustaining injuries in a car accident. Kyle was born on Sept. 11, 1987, to Kevin and Cindy Watts, in Cavalier, ND.
