Robert Osowski, 74, of Stephen, Minnesota passed away at North Valley Health Center in Warren, Minnesota on Monday, October 14, 2019. Robert James Osowski was born May 1, 1945 in Grafton, North Dakota the son of Henry and Agnes (Kouba) Osowski. Robert was a 1964 graduate of the Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston, Minnesota. After completing his education he entered the U.S. Army and served in Viet Nam. Upon his return home he began doing construction work and helped build missile sites in Nekoma, North Dakota. On November 12, 1973 he was united in marriage to Patricia McGuire at Grafton, North Dakota.
The couple lived in Argyle, Drayton and in 1998 moved to Stephen.
Robert was a 34 year employee at American Crystal Sugar Company, retiring in 2008. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church.
Robert was also a member on the BCTGM Union, Drayton Jaycee’s, Grafton VFW and the Stephen American Legion. Some of Robert’s most enjoyable moments were spent with his grandchildren, mowing his lawn and driving anywhere! Blessed be his memory.
Family members include his wife, Patricia; children, Tammy (Chris) VanCamp, Drayton, Greg (Desirae) Osowski, Drayton and Trisha (Paul) Trousil, Oslo, MN; eight grandchildren, Kyla, Kayli, Kelsi, Kennedy, Johnathan, Jackson, Nicholas and Alyson; brothers, Dean (Gail) Osowski, Drayton, Kevin (Connie) Osowski, Big Lake, MN and Marcel (Becky Grandalen) Osowski also of Big Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Agnes; and a sister, Mona Rae Osowski.
Funeral services were scheduled for Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Stephen Catholic Church, Stephen. Visitation was held for one hour prior to the service. Military honors were accorded by the Minnesota National Guard. Austin Funeral Chapel, Stephen, MN. Fr. Luis Buitron, presided; special music was provided by St. Stephen Choir, Marilyn Hanson, organist. Robert’s family would like to give a special thank you to the Stephen Ambulance, Stephen Fire and Rescue, Lon and Melissa Woinarowicz, Mary Ellen “Shifty” Smith and Chuck Cook.
