Genesis 25:8 records the death of Abraham, saying he died, “full of years; and was gathered to his people.” Thousands of years later Abraham is seen in a place of comfort (Luke 16:24). Jesus called this place “paradise.” Isaac, Jacob, Aaron and others were similarly said to have been “gathered unto his people.”
