The December 19, 1913, “Cavalier Chronicle” indicated that newspaper had been founded by Jerry A. Frawley, who arrived in Cavalier from Park River, and it was continued by him until January 1898 when J.K. Fairchild took over, having purchased the “Chronicle” in December 1897.
