On May 28, 1913, Cavalier mayor D.J. Laxdal returned from two weeks in a Battle Creek, Michigan, sanitarium.
On June 10 the Pembina County Commission met with court house architect Buechner and contractor Rowles. At 1:30 p.m. the Commissioners and Buechner inspected the court house. The Commission voted to pay contractors Rowles & Bailey $5445.
