Seven centuries before Calvary, Isaiah, the prophet of God, told of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion. Isaiah told of the reaction to Christ’s coming: “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?” (Isaiah 53:1, John 12:38, NLT). It was those who most knew the scripture prophecies in the First Century who would not believe in Jesus as the Messiah.
