Decline in sheep and lamb inventory indicates opportunity for ranchers

The all sheep and lamb inventory in the U.S. on Jan. 1 totaled 5.03 million head, down 2% from 2023, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
