Bomber’s speech team narrowly misses state q ualifi cation in P ark River

The Drayton Bomber Speech team traveled to Park River on Saturday for their annual tournament. It was the largest meet the team has attended this year, and each participant held their own against strong competition throughout the day.

Drayton FFA kicks off National FFA Week with Tractor Day

Drayton FFA members began National FFA Week (Feb. 21-28) with a special tradition—driving their tractors to school. Students arrived early to line up their equipment in the school parking area, creating an impressive display that highlighted the strong agricultural roots of the Drayton community.

“Make Your Own Red River Oxcart” has been set for Saturday, Feb.28, at the Pembina State Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors will be able to make a model oxcart with popsicle sticks to take home, and learn about the Métis, oxcarts, and the Red River Valley fur trade.
