In the third meeting between the two teams this season, the Drayton-Valley- Edinburg Titans squared off against the Cavalier Tornadoes in the play-in round of the Region 2 Boys’ Basketball Tournament. As the number seven seed, the Tornadoes hosted the Titans Friday night in Cavalier.

Lady Titan’s season comes to an end

The Drayton-Valley-Edinburg Lady Titans came up just shy in their bid to advance to the Region 2 quarterfinals, falling to Hillsboro-Central Valley, 39-35 Friday night in Hillsboro.
The Titans trailed, 8-6 after the first quarter but outscored the Burros 1612 to take a 22-20 halftime lead.

High School Activities Association adopts three-class system for basketball

At a meeting held Feb. 8 in Valley City, the North Dakota High School Activities association (NDHSAA) voted to adopt a three-class system for boys’ and girls’ basketball.
The classes will be based on enrollment. The classes would be AA, A, and B .

The Drayton-Valley-Edinburg Titans girls’ basketball team picked up their fifth win of the season with a 55-34 victory over visiting Midway-Minto Feb. 9 in Crystal.
D-V-E set the tone early by outscoring the Lady Mustangs, 14-7 in the first quarter.
