Season ends for Titans Boys’ basketball team

In the third meeting between the two teams this season, the Drayton-Valley- Edinburg Titans squared off against the Cavalier Tornadoes in the play-in round of the Region 2 Boys’ Basketball Tournament. As the number seven seed, the Tornadoes hosted the Titans Friday night in Cavalier.

There was no school last Monday due to Presidents’ Day. This past week was National FFA week. FFA stands for Future Farmers of America. Mr. Riddle and his Ag classes partook in many things to celebrate.

Titans fall to Eagles at home

The North Border Eagles weren’t very friendly to their hosts, handing the Drayton-Valley-Edinburg Titans a 7637 loss Friday in Drayton in Region 2 boys’ basketball action.

Lady Titan’s season comes to an end

The Drayton-Valley-Edinburg Lady Titans came up just shy in their bid to advance to the Region 2 quarterfinals, falling to Hillsboro-Central Valley, 39-35 Friday night in Hillsboro. The Titans trailed, 8-6 after the first quarter but outscored the Burros 1612 to take a 22-20 halftime lead.

Titan boys go 0-3 in past week

The Drayton-Valley-Edinburg Titans went 0-3 in games played in the past week. Feb. 14 | Cavalier 55, D-V-E 35 Everette Fedje led the Titans with 15 points, followed by Jayse Gullickson with 7.

High School Activities Association adopts three-class system for basketball

At a meeting held Feb. 8 in Valley City, the North Dakota High School Activities association (NDHSAA) voted to adopt a three-class system for boys’ and girls’ basketball. The classes will be based on enrollment. The classes would be AA, A, and B .

Titan girls win fifth game of the season

The Drayton-Valley-Edinburg Titans girls’ basketball team picked up their fifth win of the season with a 55-34 victory over visiting Midway-Minto Feb. 9 in Crystal. D-V-E set the tone early by outscoring the Lady Mustangs, 14-7 in the first quarter.
