The DVE Titans headed south on a very cold and windy Saturday, April 20 to attend the Don Kerlin Memorial Track and Field Meet in Mayville. The varsity girls placed fifth with 78.5 points and boys 7th with 42.66.

Personal bests set by Titans on the track

The Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Titans hit the track hard on April 5, 2024 at the Fritz Pollard Athletic Center on the Campus of UND. The Red River Valley Conference Indoor featured some the top talent in North Dakota Class B track and field. The Titan girls put up an impressive 103.

Titans attend Great North Regional Open at UND

The Titans had a strong showing in both the boys and girls divisions in the 20 team field of over 600 athletes. DVE Boys finished 3rd and the Titan Ladies were 5th. The meet featured some new Titan team records. Brady Reilly’s winning 400 dash time of :53.34 eclipsed his record time of :53.

North Dakota Game and Fish updates

Nonresident any-deer bow applications after April 15 The North Dakota Game and Fish Department will have 337 anydeer bow licenses available to nonresidents in 2024. Applicants can apply online after April 15 on the Game and Fish website, gf.nd.gov. The deadline to apply is May 15.

Boys basketball

This week in Drayton was the end of the season for the boys’ varsity basketball team. This year is the first year of the new class system. Now that North Dakota has three classes in varsity basketball, Class B had its first district in years.

This week in Drayton, the boys are finishing up basketball season and going into district games. On Friday, Feb. 23, the Titan boys played in Langdon. The Drayton-Valley Edinburg boys’ basketball lost their first game in district games against the North Stars.
