I was going to write this column last week but as you all know, other events interceded. The adventure continues, we spent Labor Day weekend camping, with some good friends, at the Red River Recreation Area State Park in East Grand Forks, Minn. and had a very nice, extremely relaxing time.

Wednesday morning Saralee Hoselton took the PCMT van to Grafton where she ran her usual errands and visited Linda Hoselton at her Sunset Leisure Estates Apartment. That afternoon Saralee Hoselton hosted a couple from Gilmer, TX, at the Blessing Museum.

My church had an outdoor service last weekend. The weather was beautiful, the kids were behaving, and I was able to relax, learn, and enjoy.

Dear Editor, Honk! Honk! Toot! Toot! We aren’t very good at blowing out own horn—not to tell others to get out of our way, but to shine a light on our assets. (Our mothers told us not to brag.) Drayton has connections that other towns would gladly exploit.

Lately the theologian in me has been showing up more and more, I am coming to the conclusion that this is an age-related development. I have noticed over the years that as many of us age we spend more and more time thinking about our faith, or lack of the same in some cases.
