Dear Editor, This letter is a gripe session. My number one pet peeve is the streets, the roads, the potholes; oh yes, that street is just one big pot hole! Just because I no longer drive a car doesn’t mean I am unaffected.

We finally have leaves on our trees! Green on the trees is a welcome sight that took a darn long time this year (it felt like it anyway). I write this note to you on a windy day while I watch the trees outside my window sway.I love watching the top branches. They dance the most.

After reading Mike and Andrea’s columns, I tried and tried to think of a bunny story but didn’t have any luck. Spoiler alert though - Mike’s has a much different ending from Andrea’s! I’m not sure how many women actually enjoy wedding planning… I am sure though, that I am not one of them.

I didn’t grow up with any pets in the house. Not until I was in my mid-teens did we have any sort of animal in the house. That’s assuming my wild kid brother didn’t count. That changed one day when my mother decided to say yes to a small poodle when I found an ad for puppies in the newspaper.

Happy belated Mother’s Day greetings to you all. You may be a mother, you definitely have a mother, so it is something to celebrate one way or another. You all know by now how much I love my girls.

I underestimated this last surgery. I underestimated it terribly. Perhaps I bounced back from the others too well and let myself get cocky. Last Wednesday, Phil and I hit the road for Minneapolis, once again, to see Dr. Ali.
