I have a love for Christmas music. The old songs, the new remakes, and even the odd ones. If you want to make the kiddos laugh, put on Gayla Peevey’s song ‘I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.’ For a more adult version of that song, listen to Kacey Musgraves’ version.

This weekend was utilized by deep cleaning our house, you know, the kind of cleaning you do a couple times a year and always dread?

Musings...Who knew walking could be so complicated? by Lyle Van Camp

After a few years of daily workouts, first the recumbent exercise and then the spin bike, I started feeling like I needed to change things up a bit. So, I started looking at treadmills and ellipticals. Since I was using the iFit app on both bikes I figured I would stick with iFit brand equipment.

Musings...“Jump into the arms of Jesus” by Lyle Van Camp

A wonderful man passed away last week. Long time readers of this column may remember when my bride and I often journeyed to Staples, Minnesota where we spent time with her uncle and aunt, Ken and Mary Jane Lingenfelter.

My Two Cents | Hidden Gem by Mike Alan Steinfeldt

If you’ve been reading over the past few weeks, you know that I was recently in the city of Philadelphia to attend the wedding of our daughter Breanna. Her wedding was on a Friday and we flew in on Wednesday so we could get settled and be rested for the big day.

It’s not often that I DON’T have something I’m ready to blab about in this space, but today, I am finding myself in that situation. I’m sure we will land somewhere, so buckle up… To start out with, I’m writing this column from the bench outside behind our offices.
