Today when you say the word SPAM, you think of unwanted messages you receive on your phone or computer. For those of my generation, SPAM has an altogether different meaning. SPAM is a pork meat product first created in 1937 by the Hormel Company in Austin, Minnesota.

Boys basketball

This week in Drayton was the end of the season for the boys’ varsity basketball team. This year is the first year of the new class system. Now that North Dakota has three classes in varsity basketball, Class B had its first district in years.

I was busy getting ready for the day this morning and my oldest daughter was in the living room. I heard her yell, “Oh! Oh nooooo!” My thoughts immediately went to the puppy, Hugo, and I cringed to think what the little white fluff ball had done to make her reaction what it was.
