Lake Metigoshe State Park to Host

Lake Metigoshe State Park is hosting a smaller, modified Wild Outdoor Women (WOW) event on February 19-21, 2021. The WOW event is for ladies over the age of 16 who are looking to learn or improve on skills associated with several of North Dakota’s outdoor recreational activities.

It was a time when families were big and houses were small. It is a little “A” frame house on Windom Street in Drayton; the house built by Grandfather’s hands around 1940. Nearly two decades later the family meets for Christmas dinner at Grandmother’s house.

Much time has passed since last December when I announced I would not be seeking a fifth term as State Treasurer. Throw in a pandemic and our agency motto holds just as true today as it did in 2004 when I first took office.

A year of lock downs, mandates, and closures

The year of 2020 is coming to a close very shortly. As we look back on this year it has been a difficult year filled with isolation, mandates, lock downs, and closures. Yet we are no closer to controlling or understanding the virus that has held our country captive for thi past year.

Life in the Slow Lane?

This past weekend we got back to a project that I had started earlier this year but was never able to quite get around to finishing. Partly because I had too many projects going at once and partly because I was physically not able to complete the project until I got a health issue under control.
