Hope’s Midnight Raid

December 27, 2021 — Cooperstown and Hope were once in the same county – Griggs – which was established by the Territorial Legislature in 1881. But that wasn’t to last.

Here we are ringing in another New Year. This is the start of promise. The promise of leaving the past year behind us and moving forward into the promise of the future year to come.
Last year the hope was that we would be leaving a virus that gripped not just our nation but the world behind us.
Each year some people make New Year’s resolutions and others do not. I have kept mine pretty simple in the last few years. Each year I resolve to eat and live healthier. I do pretty good for the most part on that front.
This year I am making a New Year’s resolution to take care of my health.
A little bit more about my very (in)complete Christmas, if I may, on Sunday evening, December 18th my bride and I were lucky enough to join some good friends at the “Home Free” concert at the Alerus Center. I shared that story with you last week in this space.
