Green is the in thing in society with a growing push to be completely green.There is absolutely nothing wrong with trying to be more mindful of our environment. There is nothing wrong with reducing, recycling, and reusing. These are all wonderful things.

When I get to the end of my life, I want people to say that I had a life that was well lived. My definition of a life well lived for myself does not include going to the wildest parties or having the largest number of acquaintances or social media followers. My definition is perhaps simpler.

Along time ago, probably more than thirty years, a good friend of mine was diagnosed with an uncurable form of cancer and was told that he had one good year left. Being a newspaper publisher, he told his readers of his diagnosis in the very next issue of his weekly newspaper.
