The tenth of the “Ten Commandments” in Exodus 20 is “Do not covet your neighbor’s house. Do not covet your neighbor’s wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else your neighbor owns” (v. 17, NLT).

If we were to put that commandment into 21st-century language, we might say that one should not look at the house or farmstead down the road, with its beautifully manicured yard and get up…
