The current Drayton Curling Club features three sheets of ice for competition following a major renovation that started in 2020. In a “sweeping” change to state law, Gov. Burgum on Thursday signed Senate Bill 2229 designating curling as the official sport of North Dakota.
With the sweep of a pen on Thursday, March 23, Gov. Doug Burgum signed Senate Bill 2229 designating curling as the official sport of North Dakota.
The bill passed the Senate 30-17 and the House 72-21, before being signed by the governor.
