A backup jury trial has been set for Nov. 16 in Northeast District Court for 32-year-old Ryan Paul Nilson of Park River, formerly of Hoople.
A pretrial conference for Nilson was held last week. He is charged with the Class B felony of certain materials prohibited.
Back in August of 2025, Nilson was taken into custody by Walsh County Deputies at a Hoople business.
