Pembina State Museum to host Red River oxcart craft event

“Make Your Own Red River Oxcart” has been set for Saturday, Feb.28, at the Pembina State Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors will be able to make a model oxcart with popsicle sticks to take home, and learn about the Métis, oxcarts, and the Red River Valley fur trade.

The 2026 Pembina County Spelling Bee was held on Wednesday, Feb.11, in the Farmers Room of the courthouse. Area schools hold a local spelling bee, with the top three students advancing to the County Spelling Bee.
