Artistic archives: Area woman enjoys the community of crafting

Many people from our area have turned their artistic craftsmanship into small businesses. Not only does it highlight their talents, but it also helps bring in extra funds throughout the year, as well as giving consumers a chance to purchase handmade items for personal and unique gift ideas.

Pembina County Historical Society, Community Orchard awarded grants for Colonial-style cider press

The Pembina County Historical Society and the Pembina County Community Orchard have been awarded two major state grants that will fund the creation of a working, colonial-style cider press. An interactive project that blends history, agriculture, art, and community engagement.

Republican Balazs to take on Fedorchak for North Dakota US House seat

Former Republican-endorsed candidate Alex Balazs announced last Thursday that he will challenge Republican Rep. Julie Fedorchak for North Dakota’s only U.S. House seat.
