Drayton senior Jerimiah Johnson traveled to Orlando, Florida, May 1-3 to compete in the Cook Around the World competition at Walt Disney World Resort. Johnson was the only competitor from North Dakota. He was paired with students from Ringgold High School to compete as a team.

On Monday, May 25, following the Pembina County Memorial Day service hosted by the Laverne J.Thompson Post 11 on the museum grounds, the Pembina County Historical Museum opened for the season. The museum will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through Sept. 30.
