Pembina County Sheriff Terry Meidinger retires

Pembina County Sheriff Terry Meidinger notified the Pembina County Commission at the May 19 meeting that he intended to retire effective May 31 after 11 ½ years as sheriff. Meidinger started his law enforcement career in January of 1991, serving the city of Walhalla for 24 years.

Drayton grad Jerimiah Johnson receives awards at culinary competition

Drayton senior Jerimiah Johnson traveled to Orlando, Florida, May 1-3 to compete in the Cook Around the World competition at Walt Disney World Resort. Johnson was the only competitor from North Dakota. He was paired with students from Ringgold High School to compete as a team.
