Greater accountability of VA following budget shortfall debacle

A few months ago, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced a nearly $3 billion budget shortfall, which would have prevented the delivery of benefit payments to veterans and their dependents by October 2024 unless it received emergency supplemental funding.

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development North Dakota State Director Erin Oban announced nearly $12 million in grant and loan investments to improve infrastructure and support non-profits and small businesses in rural and tribal communities across North Dakota.

The North Dakota Game and Fish Department cautions hunters to be wary of ice conditions.In some parts of the state, there are smaller waters that show the appearance of safe ice. Hunters should be cautious of walking on frozen stock ponds, sloughs, creeks and rivers.
