“My God, my God, Why have you forsaken me?” (Psalm 22:1, NKJV). These are some of the last words spoken by Jesus on the Cross. He was reaching out to Father God in anguish. Yet I cannot help but think Christ directs us to Psalm 22 with one of His last gasping breaths.

The son of Scott and Amber Johnson, he plans to attend the University of Minnesota in Crookston to study Ag Business. In elementary school, he remembers when Mrs. Tunk’s water broke during nap time. For a long time, he thought everyone’s water could break at any time. It was a rough year.

Nine DPS students inducted to Honor Society

In a ceremony held at Hastings Landing Sunday evening, April 27, eight Drayton Public High School students were inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS) and one DPS junior high student was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS).

Titans send three to Shanley Invitational Track Meet

Thanks to a special “featured race” 300 hurdle event at the new Shanley track and field the Titans were able to send three athletes to compete April 24. The 300 hurdle race was an invitation to the top 300 hurdles in ND, MN, and SD.

'Following Freeway' Drayton’s town mascot comes home, has a job to do

Everyone has a purpose and a journey in life, for one local celebrity, a German Shepherd dog named Freeway, who has had his share of difficulties, purpose found him when he was given a new lease on life.

Drayton educator recognized at the state level

On April 24, State School Superintendent Kirsten Baesler congratulated 46 educators across the state. Drayton’s own, Mr. Adam Riddle was among those chosen to be honored.
