ND soybean leaders see export window narrowing with China

As farmers prepare to harvest what may be a record-large soybean crop, their largest export customer has yet to make a buy. Without a deal with China, North Dakota farmers may not get a bid for their soybeans.

Mike and Judy Stellon and Landon Mapel spent Labor Day weekend at their Maple Lake home. Other guests were Brooks and Tarri Stellon, Domenic and Amelia. Scott Baldock of East Grand Forks joined them that Sunday. Mike and Landon attended the steam threshers reunion at Rollag that Saturday.

The Red River Valley is fertile and flat. It’s home to many farmers.As you drive west of here, the land becomes hilly and not always conducive to farming. The rolling hills in the western part of the state were formed by glaciers.
