Grafton couple sets new North Dakota record with giant pumpkin

On Saturday, Sept. 27, a couple from Grafton carved their names into the North Dakota record books in a big way. Roy Line and Danielle Schmidt brought a massive pumpkin weighing 2,027 pounds to Walhalla’s 21st Annual Giant Pumpkinfest, setting a new state record.

Update released concerning body found in Red River

Grand Forks police have provided an update on the deceased female located on the banks of the Red River on Monday, Sept. 22. The deceased was found by a passerby about 200 yards north of the Riverside Dam. Officials considered the discovery “suspicious” but would not go into further details.
