Last week, Chip Olson, Mayor of Drayton, volunteered in a funeral at Fargo National Cemetery for Vernon J. Gutenkunst.
When Olson heard that assistance was needed for an “unclaimed Veteran” he was quick to call and volunteer as a pallbearer. He pulled out his old uniform and made the drive south.
“We don't just serve our country, we serve our brothers as well,” Olson stated after the event.
