North Dakota constituents not happy with Senate rejection of a school lunch bill, but a GOP lawmaker says it’s all a misunderstanding

BISMARCK – On March 27, the North Dakota Senate defeated a bill that would have provided free school lunches to a larger range of low-in-come K-12 students.

Then, less than two weeks later, senators passed a separate bill to raise meal reimbursements for state employees, including lawmakers.
